Alibaba reportedly released a new AI video model named HappyHorse-1.0 under an anonymous label.
The model secured the top ranking on the Artificial Analysis leaderboard for text-to-video generation. It also claimed the number one spot for image-to-video generation. These rankings rely on blind user preference votes.
HappyHorse-1.0 surpassed the previous leader, Seedance 2.0, developed by TikTok parent ByteDance.
Reports link the project to Alibaba’s e-commerce division, the Taotian Group. Former Kling AI technical lead Zhang Di reportedly leads the development team following his departure from rival Kuaishou.
