Bloomberg identified Alibaba as the end customer in a scheme to ship advanced NVIDIA AI chips to China. These shipments potentially violate U.S. trade regulations.

A key company in Thailand's national AI program facilitated the transfer of Super Micro Computer servers. The illicit shipments included several billion dollars' worth of hardware. These servers contained restricted NVIDIA chips.

U.S. prosecutors allege a Super Micro co-founder cooperated with a Southeast Asian firm and third-party brokers to move the technology. An NVIDIA spokesperson stated that partners must comply with all regulations. The company is cooperating with the government to enforce applicable laws.
