Alibaba Group has appointed Chen Yusen as the new CEO of its enterprise app DingTalk, replacing Chen Hang. Chen Yusen, born in 1992, previously founded a cybersecurity firm acquired by Alibaba and led the MuleRun AI Agent project at Alibaba Cloud.
The leadership transition follows internal disputes over DingTalk’s management and AI direction. A former employee’s viral article recently criticized the unit's high-pressure work environment and the development of its flagship AI product.
Alibaba’s Partnership Committee publicly criticized DingTalk’s management style shortly before the replacement. The committee stated the unit's culture failed to meet Alibaba's corporate standards.
