The Beijing-based developer of the Kimi chatbot held preliminary discussions with China International Capital Corp. and Goldman Sachs. Listing timelines remain uncertain as investor interest in artificial intelligence sectors increases.
The startup is concurrently seeking up to $1 billion in a new funding round. This capital injection could value the company at approximately $18 billion. Moonshot AI previously raised over $700 million earlier this year. Major backers include Chinese technology giants Alibaba and Tencent.
