Shenzhen’s Longgang district has released a draft policy to support the open-source AI agent software OpenClaw.

The proposed measures offer subsidies of up to 2 million yuan (US$288,986) for application development. Additional incentives target platforms that provide free OpenClaw deployment services.

Shares of several Chinese technology companies surged on March 9 following the announcement. UCloud Technology Co., QingCloud Technologies Corp., and Hangzhou Shunwang Technology Co. each rose by at least 9%.

Major technology firms including Tencent, Alibaba, and Baidu have launched tools and hosting services for the software. These companies are expanding their infrastructure to facilitate OpenClaw adoption amid rising developer interest.
