Bank of America established the Private Capital M&A Group within its investment banking division. The new team focuses on facilitating exits for private equity firms.

The initiative responds to buyout firms holding portfolio companies for longer durations. These firms are increasingly seeking alternative methods to monetize their assets.

Richard Peacock and Amanda Dupuy Ugarte will co-head the group while maintaining their current roles. Peacock leads consumer and retail M&A, while Ugarte heads global secondary advisory investment banking.

The group aims to coordinate bank resources to provide flexible exit solutions. Bank of America intends to increase its market share in the private equity exit advisory sector.
