Bank of America significantly altered its digital asset strategy according to Q1 2026 regulatory filings. The bank increased investments in Bitcoin-linked products while reducing exposure to Ethereum and Solana.

Total crypto exchange-traded fund (ETF) holdings reached approximately $53 million. BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) now serves as the bank's largest crypto-linked position at $37 million.

This single holding represents roughly 70% of the bank's total crypto ETF portfolio. The shift reflects a broader institutional trend favoring regulated Bitcoin investment vehicles for digital asset exposure.
