Banco Comercial Português (BCP) established provisions to cover legal risks associated with the foreign currency mortgage portfolio at its Polish subsidiary, Bank Millennium.

The bank estimated these provisions for the second quarter of 2026. This action addresses persistent legal challenges tied to foreign currency-denominated mortgage loans in Poland.

BCP implemented the measure as a precautionary step to cover potential liabilities arising from regulatory compliance issues. The bank first announced the move on July 8 and circulated the information widely on July 9.
