Baidu’s autonomous mobility service, AmiGo, received a Level 4 operating permit for Eastern Switzerland. The Swiss Federal Roads Office granted the permit for open-road testing across an 80-square-kilometer area. This project is a partnership between Baidu’s Apollo Go and Swiss Post’s PostBus.

The approval marks Apollo Go’s expansion into European markets and validates its technology internationally. Trials currently utilize a human safety operator.

Fully driverless operations are scheduled to begin in early 2027. The initiative is expected to become the largest automated public transport operation in Europe.
