Bitmine Immersion Technologies (BMNR) is leading a $125 million funding round for Eightco (ORBS). Eightco specializes in artificial intelligence, blockchain infrastructure, and digital consumer platforms.
Bitmine is contributing $75 million to the total financing. Cathie Wood’s ARK Invest and Payward, the parent company of crypto exchange Kraken, are each committing $25 million.
Bitmine Chairman Tom Lee will join the Eightco board of directors to oversee long-term strategy. The investment marks Bitmine’s strategic expansion into next-generation technology sectors.
Eightco shares (ORBS) surged 48.3% in premarket trading following the announcement.
