Bristol Myers Squibb and SystImmune announced new data from a global Phase 1 study. The study evaluated iza-bren (izalontamab brengitecan), a potential first-in-class antibody-drug conjugate. They presented this data at the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) 2026 World Conference on Lung Cancer.
The trial evaluated the drug in previously treated patients. These patients had a specific type of EGFR-mutated metastatic non-small cell lung cancer. The results demonstrated promising antitumor activity and a tolerable safety profile.
The positive findings support selecting a recommended dose for a future global Phase 3 registrational study. This marks a step forward in developing this potential new cancer therapy.
