Blackstone is leading a $1.2 billion funding round for Mumbai-based AI cloud and infrastructure provider Neysa.

The transaction includes $600 million in equity from Blackstone and co-investors, alongside plans to secure $600 million in debt.

Blackstone will hold a majority stake in the startup following the deal's completion.

Neysa intends to deploy more than 20,000 GPUs to scale operations for local AI model training and deployment.

The investment aligns with the Indian government's strategic push for sovereign AI and domestic data assurance.
