Bloomberg-compiled data show Citigroup led global IPO underwriting in the first nine months of the year, overtaking Goldman Sachs. Citi’s role in some of the largest share sales in the U.S. and Asia drove its rise.

Citi served as a lead global coordinator for SK Hynix’s $26.5 billion Nasdaq listing. It also worked on the National Stock Exchange of India’s $2.4 billion offering and participated in SpaceX’s landmark $86 billion IPO in June.

Goldman Sachs remains the top underwriter for broader equity offerings, which include block trades and follow-on share sales.
