Chevron will license its proprietary chemical surfactants technology to rival oil producers through a partnership with ZL Chemicals. The technology increases production from shale wells to address global energy constraints.

Chevron reports the technology improved output from new wells by up to 20% in the first year. The application also reduced production decline in existing wells by 5% to 8%.

In a separate incident, drones attacked the Chevron-chartered tanker Yasa Polaris in the Black Sea. Chevron confirmed the attack had no impact on company operations or exports. The crew remains safe.
