Ciena (NYSE: CIEN) announced two executive appointments. Grant Hoffman is now Chief Supply Chain Officer. Brodie Gage transitioned to Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO). Both executives will report to President and CEO Gary Smith.
Hoffman brings over 25 years of experience in global supply chain and operations. He previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer at Poly. He later became a Senior Vice President at HP following its acquisition of Poly. His appointment will scale and optimize Ciena's supply chain. This scaling addresses increasing demand for Ciena's technology.
Brodie Gage, a Ciena veteran, will expand his responsibilities as CPTO. His new role includes technology strategy. He will continue to oversee product line management and quality. CEO Gary Smith stated these leadership changes will enhance the company's ability to scale operations. Smith added the changes will also bring differentiated innovation to market.
