Binance faces the loss of its European Union service authorization starting July 2026. Multiple sources indicate Greece's Hellenic Capital Market Commission (HCMC) rejected the exchange's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) license application.

A rejection would block Binance from legally operating across the 27-nation bloc. This restriction follows the end of a grace period for new MiCA regulations on July 1.

A Binance spokesperson stated the company believes it has met all requirements for authorization. The exchange claims it has not received any formal notice of rejection from the Greek regulator.
