Coinbase Chief Legal Officer Paul Grewal will resign on July 31, 2026, concluding a six-year tenure. Grewal directed the company’s legal strategy during its successful defense against a landmark U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission lawsuit.
Molly Abraham, the current Vice President of Legal, will become the new General Counsel and Secretary. Grewal will serve as an advisor through October 2026 to assist with the transition.
Ryan VanGrack, another legal Vice President, will assume the newly created role of Vice Chairman and head of corporate affairs.
