Crypto exchange Kraken will enable swaps between Circle's USD Coin (USDC) and the Frontier Stable Token (FRNT). The service begins January 21, 2026, on the Solana blockchain. This follows an announcement from the Wyoming Stable Token Commission. The integration provides users direct access to a government-backed digital asset.

FRNT is the first stablecoin issued by a U.S. state. It is designed to be fully compliant with financial regulations.

The new USDC/FRNT trading pair aims to reduce friction for regulated stablecoins in decentralized finance (DeFi) and digital payments. The pair allows individuals and institutions to move seamlessly between the widely used stablecoin and the state-issued token. This movement occurs within Solana’s high-speed network.
