Shares of Critical Metals Corp. (CRML) are on pace for their worst month since February 2025, having plunged approximately 41% in July. The sell-off comes amid a broader downturn for the rare earth elements (REE) sector and investor concerns over potential share dilution and development timelines.

In response to the stock's performance, CEO Tony Sage defended the company's strategy, stating the entire REE sector is weak but will recover. He reiterated the strategic importance of the company's flagship Tanbreez project in Greenland, saying, "China needs to be beaten on REE monopoly." Sage pointed to "great progress on site" as the company advances the project, which aims to establish a rare earths supply chain outside of China.
