CoreWeave Inc. will occupy a new, large-scale data center campus in Bastrop County, Texas. Developer EdgeConneX is building the site to support high-density AI and cloud computing workloads. The first facility is scheduled to open in August 2026.
The project may eventually expand to include 19 buildings. CoreWeave will receive a 10-year, 75% property tax abatement from Bastrop County. The company also qualifies for additional state tax exemptions to support the development.
The expansion reflects a broader data center construction boom in Texas driven by surging AI demand. Local residents have raised concerns regarding the project's potential strain on regional water and energy resources.
