Cenovus Energy joins major carbon pipeline pact, securing oilsands' future

Cenovus Energy and the Oil Sands Alliance reached a framework agreement with federal and provincial governments to launch a major carbon capture pipeline project. The alliance includes Canadian Natural, ConocoPhillips Canada, Imperial Oil, and Suncor.

Member companies will install carbon capture equipment at their respective oilsands sites. This initiative aims to significantly reduce carbon emissions to ensure the long-term viability of the oilsands industry.

Separately, Cenovus is reporting progress at its White Rose offshore project. Market attention remains focused on the company’s valuation and expanding upstream and downstream operations.
