Comcast Business Communications filed to intervene in the DISH Wireless bankruptcy to protect an $83.1 million claim. The claim involves an alleged breach of a Master Services Agreement for fiber backhaul and connectivity.
Comcast provided these services to more than 2,400 DISH cell sites. The company alleges that DISH stopped performing under the agreement in September 2025.
Comcast initially sued DISH Wireless and parent company EchoStar in February 2026. DISH subsequently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in June 2026.
The intervention aims to secure Comcast’s participation in discovery. This move seeks to safeguard the company’s financial interests as the legal proceedings continue.
