Carrefour Taiwan will officially adopt a new name starting July 1, 2026. This transition follows the 2022 acquisition of the retailer by Uni-President Group’s President Chain Store Co.
Chairman Lo Chih-hsien announced the timeline during a shareholders’ meeting on May 20, 2026. Contractual obligations with the former French parent company keep the new brand identity confidential until the effective date.
The physical replacement of store signage and branding will proceed gradually across all locations. Lo stated that the nationwide transition will take time to complete and will not occur overnight.
