Enlight Renewable Energy’s subsidiary, Clēnera Holdings, secured a $2.6 billion debt financing framework for its CO Bar project in Arizona. A consortium of seven global financial institutions provided the commitments. This group includes major lenders such as BNP Paribas, MUFG, and Wells Fargo.
The total investment for the landmark complex is expected to reach $3 billion. The project consists of five separate facilities. These sites will provide a combined capacity of 1.2 GW of solar power. The project also features 4.0 GWh of battery energy storage.
Construction is already underway on several phases of the development. The complex will begin operations in stages between late 2027 and early 2028. In its first full year of operation, the project is projected to generate between $250 million and $260 million in revenue.
