California State Teachers Retirement System (CalSTRS) increased its EOG Resources holding by 12,810.7% during the second quarter. The pension fund purchased 80,330,686 additional shares according to a Form 13F filing. CalSTRS now owns 80,957,747 total shares in the energy exploration firm.
This position represents a 15.43% stake in the company. The holding was valued at more than $10.5 billion at the time of filing.
EOG Resources recently surpassed consensus estimates for both earnings per share and revenue. Quarterly revenue grew 57.4% compared to the same period last year.
