Energy Transfer LP is expanding its Nederland NGL Export Terminal to meet rising demand. The project adds 240,000 barrels per day (bpd) of ethane export capacity. It also increases liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) capacity by 55,000 bpd.

All new ethane capacity is fully committed under long-term agreements extending into the 2040s. The expansion includes increasing capacity on the Mont Belvieu to Nederland pipeline and constructing two new ship docks.

The project will enter service in stages beginning in 2028. The new docks are scheduled for completion in mid-2029. Total refrigerated NGL export capacity at the facility will exceed 1.25 million bpd upon completion.
