Ford appointed Fadi Mawal as the new President and CEO for its Australia and New Zealand operations. This appointment becomes effective on January 1, 2026.

Mawal is a long-serving executive who joined the company in the early 1990s. He previously held operational, financial, and strategic positions across various regions.

Andrew Birkic, the current regional head, will transition to a new role. Birkic becomes the Vice President of Sales and Service for Ford’s International Markets Group.

The transition aims to provide continuity for the brand in these markets, specifically benefiting commercial and fleet customers. Ford continues to navigate the balance between its traditional combustion engine vehicles and its growing electric vehicle lineup.
