Ford Motor Company partners with Barrett-Jackson on January 24, 2026. They will auction the rights to the first retail unit (VIN 001) of the new 2026 Mustang Dark Horse SC. This continues Ford’s history of auctioning special VIN 001 vehicles for charitable causes.
The vehicle is the most powerful and track-capable Dark Horse model ever. The entire proceeds from the sale will benefit Breakthrough T1D, formerly JDRF. Breakthrough T1D is a leading global organization funding Type 1 diabetes research. The winning bidder may customize the vehicle's final configuration.
