Ford announced significant technology upgrades for the 2026 Ranger Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) in the European market. The updated model debuted publicly at the Brussels motor show.
The PHEV will feature hands-free highway driving capabilities. It also includes a new Trailer Theft Alert system, borrowed directly from the F-Series. This security feature triggers an alarm and notifies the owner's smartphone if it detects unauthorized trailer disconnection.
These additions accompany design tweaks similar to those on the diesel models. Ford schedules first customer deliveries of the updated Ranger PHEV for May in Europe. The company has not confirmed if or when these advanced features will be available in other major markets, such as Australia.
