Ford has announced significant updates for its 2026 Ranger and Everest models, primarily for markets like Australia and South Africa. The refreshed lineup features a major powertrain shift, with expanded availability of the 3.0-litre V6 turbo-diesel engine across more variants, including the Ranger XL for the first time. Concurrently, the company is discontinuing the popular 2.0-litre bi-turbo diesel engine, replacing it with an updated single-turbo version. The updates also introduce new and revised model trims. A new Everest Active variant will replace previous base models, and limited-edition versions like the Ranger Wolftrak will be introduced. Ford is also making technology and equipment upgrades standard on lower trims, such as a 12-inch infotainment screen and dual-zone climate control on the Ranger XL. Separately, the Ford Ranger PHEV was named the International Pick-Up of the Year for 2026-2027.
