Glencore reported a 15% year-over-year increase in own-sourced copper production for the first half of 2026. Output reached 397,000 tonnes during this period. Higher mining rates and improved ore grades at African Copper operations and the Antamina mine in Peru drove the growth.

Cobalt production fell 46% due to export quotas in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Zinc output declined 21% across the same period. The company’s marketing division expects a strong half-year adjusted EBIT of approximately $3.3 billion.

Glencore maintained its full-year 2026 production guidance for copper, zinc, and nickel despite the recent sale of its Kidd mine. Holding guidance steady effectively implies a like-for-like upgrade for copper and zinc.
