United States officials informed Al Jazeera that the second crew member from a downed F-15E aircraft has been successfully recovered. This recovery operation followed a heavy firefight to secure the missing individual.
Although the crew member is confirmed as rescued, the individual is not yet considered safe. Personnel must still complete a successful exfiltration from Iran to conclude the mission.
