General Motors and Honda will discontinue their joint venture, Fuel Cell System Manufacturing (FCSM), by the end of 2026.
The decision follows the JV's start of "mass" production at its Michigan facility in 2024.
Honda stated the joint venture yielded "some positive results." The companies agreed to end joint production after discussing the business's future.
Following the change, Honda plans to focus on its independently developed hydrogen fuel cell system.
