GM Korea Co. set a production goal of 500,000 vehicles this year. This target marks an 8.5% increase from the previous year's output of 460,826 units.

The unit aims to meet growing demand from overseas markets, particularly the United States. Parent company GM requested the two local plants, Bupyeong and Changwon, operate at full capacity to achieve this goal.

Production will focus on the Chevrolet Trax crossover and the Chevrolet Trailblazer compact SUV. This focus addresses strong international demand for these models.
