General Motors committed a new $300 million investment to its South Korean operations. The funding will stabilize and upgrade local production facilities.

This investment reaffirms GM's commitment to the market, countering speculation of a scale-back driven by shifting trade policies. The capital supports global production of popular SUVs, including the Chevrolet Trax and Trailblazer.

Separately, GM Korea revealed a multi-brand strategy for the region. The company plans to officially introduce the Buick and GMC brands to the South Korean market in 2026. These additions will supplement existing Chevrolet and Cadillac offerings.
