Alphabet’s Google signed a 20-year power purchase agreement with DTE Energy. The deal supports a new Michigan data center dedicated to artificial intelligence.
DTE Energy will develop new solar capacity to provide a clean energy supply for the facility. Alphabet also committed $10 million to a new Energy Impact Fund. This fund supports local energy reliability and community clean energy projects.
Alphabet shares declined 0.60% during trading on the day of the announcement.
