Google launched the new Fitbit Edge fitness tracker. It is priced at $179.99. Pre-orders are now open, with shipping beginning October 27. The device sits between the screenless Fitbit Air and the high-end Pixel Watch 5. It replaces the previous Fitbit Charge line.
The Fitbit Edge features a larger AMOLED display, built-in GPS with improved accuracy, an altimeter, and a skin temperature sensor. It offers a seven-day battery life. The device introduces a replaceable battery, a first for a Fitbit device. The tracker integrates with the Google Health app. New buyers receive a three-month trial of the premium subscription, which includes AI-powered coaching.
