Alphabet Inc.'s Google is set to formalize a $10 billion investment to establish a 1-gigawatt data center and an artificial intelligence hub in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, with a formal agreement scheduled to be signed on October 14, 2025. This marks Google's largest single investment in India. The project, located in the port city of Visakhapatnam, will include a 1-gigawatt data center campus, AI infrastructure, and an expanded fiber-optic network. This initiative is part of a broader push by tech giants to build out infrastructure to meet the surging demand for AI services. The investment is expected to significantly boost the region's digital infrastructure and is projected to create over 188,000 jobs annually and contribute over ₹10,518 crore to Andhra Pradesh's gross state domestic product between 2028 and 2032.
