Google finalized its $32 billion acquisition of cybersecurity firm Wiz. This transaction marks the largest purchase in the technology giant's history. The companies first announced the deal in March 2025.
Google Cloud will integrate the Wiz cloud and AI security platform to strengthen defenses as organizations migrate to the cloud and adopt generative AI. Wiz will maintain its brand and continue to secure customers across competing environments, including Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.
Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai stated the acquisition enables organizations to innovate with confidence. Alphabet shares traded fractionally lower in premarket activity following the announcement.
