Google has launched Gemini Spark, its 24/7 personal AI agent, for subscribers in India. First unveiled at the Google I/O 2026 conference, the agent operates continuously in the background even when a user's device is powered off.
The system utilizes the Gemini 3.6 Flash model to automate multi-step workflows across Google Workspace applications like Gmail and Docs. Unlike traditional chatbots, Spark proactively monitors updates and completes recurring tasks without direct user prompts.
This launch marks a strategic shift from reactive AI assistance to autonomous digital execution. Google will roll out the service to AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers over the coming weeks.
