Google is set to sign a landmark agreement with the government of Andhra Pradesh on October 14, 2025, to establish a 1-gigawatt hyperscale data center in Visakhapatnam. The data center is the cornerstone of the 'AI City Vizag' initiative, which aims to transform the port city into a global hub for artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and data analytics. The facility will be connected to Google's global network through subsea and terrestrial systems and will integrate clean-energy solutions.
