Sequoia Capital is committing $10 billion to a new investment strategy. This represents the largest capital commitment in the firm’s 54-year history. Co-stewards Alfred Lin and Pat Grady authorized the move after succeeding Roelof Botha in late 2025.

The strategy focuses on artificial intelligence and reindustrialization. Sequoia will fund AI companies alongside physical infrastructure like robotics, energy, and manufacturing. This initiative follows a separate $7 billion expansion fund raised earlier this year.

Sequoia notably increased its stake in AI lab Anthropic through this push. The firm now holds positions in three major competitors: Anthropic, OpenAI, and xAI.
