A Wyoming woman joined a federal class-action lawsuit against xAI.

The amended complaint alleges her stepfather used the Grok AI model to generate over 7,000 explicit images from a childhood photo. The perpetrator reportedly chose Grok due to its less restrictive content generation policies compared to other AI models.

The lawsuit accuses xAI of knowingly designing and profiting from a tool capable of creating child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Plaintiffs claim the company failed to implement industry-standard safeguards.

This case joins several legal actions against xAI regarding AI-generated imagery. Child safety advocates are now calling for stricter regulations and developer accountability for AI tools.
