Switzerland's competition commission, COMCO, launched a preliminary investigation into Alphabet's Google. The probe focuses on the company's decision to remove the Choice Screen feature from Android devices in Switzerland.

The Choice Screen allowed users to select a default search engine other than Google. COMCO is investigating whether eliminating this feature constitutes anti-competitive behavior and stifles the Swiss market.

The feature reportedly remains active in other European markets. This development follows Google’s unsuccessful appeal of a multi-billion euro EU antitrust fine regarding its Android operating system strategy.
