Global Ship Lease (NYSE:GSL) ordered 10 mid-size, latest-generation containerships. The aggregate price for the order is approximately $917 million. These flexible, wide-beam, and ultra-high-reefer vessels are designed to meet evolving market needs.

The company secured multi-year charters for all 10 newbuilds. These contracts feature a TEU-weighted average term of 6.7 years.

The agreements are expected to generate approximately $665 million in aggregate adjusted EBITDA. This backlog significantly de-risks the investment.

Deliveries are scheduled to occur between the fourth quarter of 2028 and the first quarter of 2030.
