Investors, led by Zevin Asset Management, urge Home Depot to assess and report on its partnership with surveillance firm Flock Safety. The group submitted a shareholder proposal demanding a review of the arrangement.

The proposal specifically targets risks associated with sharing customer and surveillance data with law enforcement, including Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Shareholders cite concerns over potential privacy violations, civil rights risks, and financial liabilities stemming from data misuse.

This action follows reports that Flock Safety data assisted ICE investigations and concerns regarding immigration raids near Home Depot stores. Investors warn that these practices expose the company to data breach risks, evolving privacy law enforcement, and reputational damage. Home Depot responded that it cannot legally interfere with federal law enforcement agencies. The company expects its annual shareholder meeting in May.
