Honda Motor Co. is recalling approximately 880,500 vehicles across the United States. Corrosion in rear subframes at suspension mounting points prompted the safety action. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) warned that component failure could cause loss of vehicle control. This defect significantly increases the risk of a crash.

The recall affects 2016-2022 Honda Pilot and 2017-2023 Honda Ridgeline models. It also covers 2019-2023 Honda Passport and 2014-2020 Acura MDX vehicles sold in specific states. Authorized dealers will inspect rear subframes and perform necessary repairs at no cost to owners. Technicians will install reinforcement kits, repair parts, or replace components as required.
