Robinhood Markets and BNY Mellon launched a mobile app today for the federal Trump Accounts program. The app is available on the Apple and Google stores. Enrolled families can activate accounts before the official July 4 launch date.
The U.S. Treasury selected BNY Mellon to manage the tax-advantaged investment accounts. Robinhood serves as the brokerage, initial trustee, and co-developer of the platform. The government will seed each account with a $1,000 contribution. This funding applies to children born between 2025 and 2028.
This initiative represents a significant partnership between Robinhood and the federal government.
