HCL Technologies completed its acquisition of Hewlett Packard Enterprise's (HPE) Telco Solutions business. The deal closed on August 1, 2026. This acquisition strengthens HCL's telecommunications capabilities. It integrates HPE's intellectual property and expertise. Key areas include 5G subscriber data management and network automation. The transaction continues HCL's strategic expansion in the telecom sector.

HCLTech originally announced the acquisition in December 2025. This deal builds on a 2024 agreement. In 2024, HCLTech acquired assets from HPE's Communications Technology Group (CTG). Approximately 1,500 HPE employees will transition to HCLTech as part of the latest agreement. These employees come from 39 countries. HPE divests the business to sharpen its focus on high-growth areas. These areas include networking and AI.
