SK Hynix will supply approximately 70% of the HBM4 memory for Nvidia’s upcoming Vera Rubin AI platform. This agreement establishes Nvidia as the first customer for the next-generation HBM4 technology.
The deal stems from a multi-year co-development agreement signed in June 2026. Both companies now treat AI components as long-term strategic assets rather than standard procurement items.
This contract builds on SK Hynix’s current role providing HBM3E memory for Nvidia’s Blackwell GPUs. The move positions SK Hynix significantly ahead of competitors Samsung and Micron in the AI memory market.
Wall Street Zen upgraded SK Hynix to a strong-buy rating following the announcement. Analysts cite sustained AI-driven demand for high-performance memory as the primary growth driver.
